The Analyst II prepares and analyzes environmental samples using both routine
and complex testing according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with TestAmerica's
Quality Assurance programs and SOP's. Validates and reviews data for accuracy through Level I
reviews. Uploads laboratory data into reporting system to generate data packages for delivery to
clients. Must be knowledgeable of a broad range of laboratory testing equipment requiring the
exercise of discretion and judgement in its operation.
### Job Responsibilities
1. Perform laboratory procedures requiring knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures including:
Batching and prepping samples for analysis according to special and varied client and QA requirements
Preparing reagents for sample analysis
Preparing aliquots extracted samples to maximize laboratory productivity
Preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data
Determining appropriate routine and complex analysis methods for a wide variety of organic and inorganic samples
Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments
2. Upload data into reporting system for review
3. Perform Level I review of data produced to ensure accuracy
4. Maintain logbooks
5. Monitor refrigerator temperatures
6. Adherence to health and safety, and QA guidelines as appropriate to job function
7. Maintain housekeeping standards for work area
8. Inventory and stock laboratory supplies
### Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field. 8 years laboratory experience may substitute for
degree.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in routine and complex laboratory procedures and instruments, preferably
in a production environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of scientific methods and method compliance
Knowledge of analytical and/or general science
Strong mathematical aptitude
Knowledge of general laboratory procedures
Knowledge of laboratory safety rules and chemical hazards
Skill in operating and calibrating laboratory instruments
Skill in operating computers and laboratory software

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
