PC Support Specialist

Contract: 3+ months
1+ year experience
Responsibilities:
Installs and understands microcomputer hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives.

Loads and verifies correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Provides training and technical assistance to users.

Identifies and resolves hardware, software and operator problems, makes minor repairs, or refers to service personnel.

Follows a script when calling end users to help them identify spare equipment in their areas and help them follow client process to have that equipment returned to the warehouse.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
