Manager of Finance Merchandising

Description   The Manager, Merchandising Finance assists in the development and preparation of annual sales and margin budgets and periodic sales and margin forecasting.   The roles analyzes, evaluates, and develops reports and analytics for the Merchandising and Pricing teams.  Role will focus and be responsible for either Fresh, Produce and/or General Merchandise categories within the product portfolio. Prepare sales and margin forecasts and be able to discuss and explain variances of expected and actual performance versus plans Develop strong working relationships with Merchandising leaders and team members. Work with the merchants on potential solutions where there are identifiable shortfalls Prepare and coordinate the annual operating sales and margin plan Develop realistic and achievable work plans, key deliverables and review sessions with limited guidance and input Prepare executive summaries of reports with analysis, identifying anomalies, trends, and deviations in the business. Prepare analysis and reports, reviews and recaps that guide the decision processes of the Merchandising team on a weekly and period basis. Validate assumptions used to build analysis Prepare sales and margin forecasts and be able to discuss and explain variances of expected and actual performance versus plans Develop realistic and achievable forecasts that include fully validated assumptions and supporting analysis with limited guidance and direction Facilitate the identification of outstanding risks and opportunities and communicate them to the key stakeholders Deliver weekly forecast at meetings of Merchandising leaders Analyze the feasibility and estimate the financial performance of key initiatives and projects Minimum Requirements   Bachelor's degreerequired, in Finance or Accountingpreferred MBA (or CPA) preferred Five or more years in finance or accounting environment 2 years' experience in retailfinancial planning and analysis Possess ability to analyze, interpret, and reportfinancial data. Statistical modeling skills a plus.  Is able to run complex analyses with minimal help and understands when to ask for help when encountering roadblocks Ability to solve problems using analytical frameworks to streamline the process. Must be a self-starter who can work well within various situations (from well-defined to unstructured) and proactively identify business improvement areas. The ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization. Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent PC and related spreadsheet application skills. Proficient with MS Office products Must be able to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner while using sound judgment and discretion in the completion of department duties and managing the office staff. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
