PMO Sr Program Manager

urpose The PMO Senior Program Manager is an experienced project management professional who is responsible for: the successful delivery of multiple large complex multifunctional strategic initiatives, the establishment of and adherence to a standard project management methodology, increasing the competency of the organizations project management professionals, and fostering the development of an active and vibrant project management professional community.   Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities o Leads the successfully delivery of one or more large complex multifunctional strategic initiatives resulting in achievement of the business objective and delivery of anticipated benefits. o Identifies and gains functional alignment on strategic initiative work streams, schedules, milestones, budget, and outcomes. o Collaborates with functional Project Managers responsible for individual functional work streams to ensure successful delivery of the strategic initiative. o Drives decision making necessary to keep strategic initiatives moving forward and on track. o Works with functional Project Managers to proactively mitigate project risks that have the potential to impact strategic initiatives. o Provides visibility necessary to resolve project issues impact that are impacting strategic initiatives. o Works with functional Project Managers to develop recovery plans when projects associated with strategic initiatives get off track. o Tracks and reports on status of strategic initiatives (i.e. work stream milestones, cost, resource allocations, risks, issues, and benefits achievement) based on project updates received from project managers. o Confirms achievement of functional work stream milestones. o Confirms delivery and acceptance of cross functional project deliverables. o Conducts weekly strategic initiative reviews with functional Planners and Project Managers. o Leads strategic initiative steering committee meetings. o Participates in management portfolio reviews. o Leads establishment of and adherence to a standard organization wide project management methodology. o Leads establishment of a competency development program for project management professionals. o Creates and maintains an active vibrant project management professional community within the company. o Trains project management professionals on the use of project and portfolio management processes and tools. Minimum Requirements   Job Requirements Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other business major; work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. o 8 years of work experience, preferably in retail with a significant focus on project management o Very strong program and project management skills, PMP certification preferred. o Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills. o The ability to effectively facilitate and track project work associated with multiple large multifunctional transformational strategic initiatives, with relentless focus on delivery of the desired outcomes. o Must be agile and have the ability to work effectively in a complex fast paced environment, meeting deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities. o Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to adjust communications to appropriate audience levels. o Ability to build a strong network of collaborative relationships across the organization. o Ability to influence, motivate, and work with and through others to achieve desired results. o Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills o Must be a self-starter who can bring structure to unstructured environments, defining and continuously improving standard work processes. o Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications Physical Requirements o Some travel may be required, depending on assigned area o Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment o Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal o Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday o Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties 2433

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
