Manager, Data Insights

Description     The Manager of Data Insights leads the data analytics and business intelligence team.  This team will provide expertise in reporting, business intelligence, visualization, and data science, providing such services to the enterprise, and fostering and growing enterprise analytics skills within and outside of IT.  This includes working with key business teams to navigate through data platforms and solving immediate business questions as well as building automated solutions for more accurate and dependable insights.  This team will also be responsible for building innovative and creative platforms for data discovery, visualization, ad hoc reporting, and advanced analytics in areas like optimization, sentiment analysis, text analytics, geospatial analysis, and possibly behavioral and cognitive analysis. Lead the data insights team to provide reporting and business intelligence/analytics functions to the enterprise and ensure optimal user experience in obtaining and analyzing data. Build data science expertise within the data and insights teams, enabling discovery of new business opportunities, efficiencies and value. Measure the quality and effectiveness of the analytics environment and tools, and ensure optimal usability, performance and availability. Partner with Enterprise Architects to deliver multi-year analytics strategy, providing roadmaps and investment plans for all data-related capability. Partner with the security and risk teams to ensure secure, compliant analytics and reporting environments. Partner with the enterprise technology function to ensure effective and efficient operation of all environments. Partner with the data platforms team to migrate reusable assets and key metrics back into enterprise data platforms to support automated and dependable reporting and analysis. Foster continuous process improvement within the insights organization and functions.  Cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders of the insights and key business teams.  Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements     Experience in designing, delivering, and optimizing analytical and reporting solutions on multiple platforms like Tableau, MicroStrategy, and SQL Server Reporting Services. Experience building, leading and growing enterprise analytics functions.  Experience coaching teams to achieve business outcomes leveraging data and continuously improve. Experience leading large portfolios of inter-related projects to deliver an enterprise analytics ecosystem, achieving target outcomes and business value within budget and timeline. Expertise across analytics related disciplines and environments. Demonstrated ability to make informed, data-driven decisions, applying appropriate decision-making rigor around projects, solutions and preferred technology.  Ability to balance long-term outcomes with short-term needs. Experience in a variety of work environments and industries, with demonstrated ability to be effective and deliver on the defined responsibilities in these varying environments.  Able to quickly adapt techniques to the target environment and stakeholders.  Experience in a retail environment preferred. Full IT development lifecycle experience and knowledge, applying varying traditional and agile methodologies. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships with business and IT senior leaders and executives. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
