Mortgage Senior Modeling Manager

The newly hired candidate is expected to contribute to the team's many areas of responsibilities. The areas include the valuation and hedging of the mortgage servicing rights (MSR) portfolio, and mortgage origination modeling in support of financial forecasting and CCAR.  We are looking for candidates with experience in mortgage banking related to mortgage origination, MSR valuation and hedging using OAS modeling frameworks.    Qualifications   Basic Qualifications  o Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline with PhD preferred  o 10 or more years of experience in financial services industry  Preferred Skills/Experience  o 7 years or more of experience in mortgage banking  o 5 years or more of experience supporting mortgage origination and MSR  o Strong experience in any of the areas of term structure modeling, prepayment and delinquency modeling, and mortgage origination modeling  o Good grasp of the macroeconomic factors driving the mortgage market  o Strong model development ability is necessary for this job  o Technical experience with C++, SAS or R programming languages  o Strong verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts in layman's terms  o Strong technical document writing skills for model development documentation and communication with external entities  o Strong task management skills required to deal with multiple requests  o Experience with CCAR stress testing modeling and processes is desired but not required 180011028

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
